Eric & Malana were born and raised in Louisiana. They married in November 2000, and they have three sons. Eric is set to retire from his civil servant job in August 2025. Malana retired from teaching high school social studies after twenty-one years. They are both graduates of MTI School of Ministry where Eric currently serves on the board of directors. Eric serves as an elder in their church, and Malana teaches children’s church. Malana is also certified to teach English as a foreign language.

Eric & Malana began to feel God leading them to work with 10/40 Hope in 2023. When Eric asked what he could do to help, Ben Johnson (the founder) said that he needed missionaries in Cyprus to aid in the mission work to North Africa & the Middle East. After a vision trip to Cyprus and a lot of prayer, they decided to make the move. Since then, God has increased their faith by connecting them with other missionaries and supporters. God has also given them a deep desire to serve the people of the region.

Garrison

When Garrison isn’t bass fishing, he works as a welder/pipefitter. He is wise and witty. He will be staying in Louisiana building his career while we are in Cyprus. Pray for us. We will miss him terribly.

Jameson

Jameson loves sports and working out. He is a huge Buffalo Bills fan. He has a very strong faith in God and love for others. He is excited to see what God has in store for him in Cyprus.

John Hayes

John Hayes keeps us laughing! He is learning jiu-jitsu and piano. He loves video games. He is an animal lover. It is a good thing for him that Cyprus has more stray cats than people.
